Located in Jefferson County, Toronto is nestled in the Upper Ohio River Valley with the scenic Ohio River flowing along its eastern bank. Toronto's geographical location is ideally situated within a two hour drive to three metropolitan cities with Pittsburgh within a 45 minute drive to the east; Cleveland, a two hour drive to the northwest and Columbus, a two hour drive to the southwest. Ohio State Rt. 7 runs north and south along the western city limits of Toronto providing direct access to Rt. 22 eight miles south; I-70 approximately 30 miles south and Rt. 11 approximately 16 miles to the north. Newburg Landing, at the foot of Market Street, offers public access to boaters who enjoy pleasure boating and fishing on the Ohio River as well as a public park maintained by the Toronto Chapter of Lions International and the Toronto Beautification Committee. Two marinas are also located along the Ohio River; one at the north end and the other at the south end of town.
